The CANADIAN CATHOLIC HISTORICAL ASSOCIATION (CCHA) is a national society for the promotion of interest in the history of the Canadian Catholic Church. We encourage research and public interest in the history of the Canadian Catholic Church, its dioceses, religious communities, institutions, parishes, schools, and personalities. Furthermore, we also promote the presentation and understanding of historical sites and buildings, documents, and significant heirlooms of the past.
For Congress 2018, we will focus on the Congress theme ("Gathering Diversities") as it relates to the history of Canadian Catholicism. Yet, we will also host several sessions that deal with multiple aspects of the dynamic history of Catholicism in Canada.
